This course enables students with a background in so ware engineering or computer science
to develop a deeper understanding of advanced so ware methodologies.
This course stimulates creative thinking and enhances problem solving and decision making techniques.
This course equips students with the knowledge necessary to understand the ethical and
environmental issues they will encounter in industry in general.
You are normally expected to have successfully completed an honours degree (or equivalent)
in a relevant sub¡ect and have appropriate work experience.
The standard entry requirement for the course is BSc(Hons) in Computer Science related
sub¡ects or BEng(Hons) in So ware Engineering, usually with a first or upper second class
classification. For applicants without a first or upper second, then a lower second degree will
be considered on a case by case basis (particularly for candidates with good relevant
industrial experience).
If English is not your first language you will need to complete a Secure English Language Test
at IELTS 6.0 or equivalent with no band less than 5.5.

Advanced entry pathways are available for individuals who possess:
- Experience at Executive Level, OR a Diploma/ Higher Diploma / HND / Part or full professional qualification from a recognized institution
- Depending on experience and qualifications, advanced entry options are open for 18 months, 15 months, 13 months or 9 months to complete the degree.

Learning and teaching methods apply a blended style. This may include lectures, seminars, tutorials and critiques,self-directed learning, e-learning and laboratory/workshop sessions, as well as online sessions and support.
