    The MSc in Project Management (Top-Up) program is an advanced, research-based course tailored for professionals looking to deepen their expertise in project management and advance to senior roles. This top-up program is ideal for those who already hold a relevant postgraduate diploma or an equivalent Level 7 qualification, offering them a direct route to complete a full master’s degree.

    Course Structure

    The top-up programmes consist of a compulsory single module ‘MSc Dissertation’ worth 60 credits. The MSc Dissertation enables you to undertake an in-depth individual research project in an area directly linked to your subject area and interests. This will ensure that you undertake scholarly work that further develops an aspect of the taught material and thereby contributes to your personal development and training towards professional practice. This module evidences your transformation from undergraduate to master’s level achievement through the process and production of a recognised research output in your subject area.

    You will evidence this by producing a ‘Dissertation’ of 15,000-18,000 words. The Dissertation could be completed in one academic term of 15 weeks or may be studied part-time over two terms.

    The Dissertation is delivered and assessed by KIMT’s UK based academic team using virtual learning platform and direct support from your allocated supervisor from Wolverhampton.

    Entry Requirements
    • • A minimum of a lower second (2:2) honours degree or equivalent in a related subject is required for direct entry onto this Master’s programme. This qualification can be considered further if an applicant has relevant industrial (project management) experience of 5 years or more. This will require agreement from the Course Leader.
    • Level 7 diploma in project management OR

    Duration

    Programme modality

    The MSc Project Management Top Up is studied 100% online through the virtual learning platform with tutor support. You will receive excellent support from the academic team, including your programme manager and your supervisor who will be with you every step of the way.

    Course support

    Personal Tutor:

    • Assigned at the start of the course to guide you through the induction process.
    • Provides support and academic guidance throughout the course on an appointment basis.
    • Offers advice to help you connect with other staff and support services within the School and University.
    Student Academic Coaches:
    • Available throughout the week for drop-in sessions or by appointment.
    • Assist with timetables, extension requests, extenuating circumstances, general study concerns, and program planning.
    • Serve as the first point of contact for leave of absence (and returns), withdrawals, course transfers (internal and external), and changes in attendance mode.
    Course Leader:
    • Available by appointment to discuss matters such as leave of absence, withdrawal, course transfers (internal and external), returning after leave, and changes in attendance mode.
    • Provides additional support for direct entrants.
