This LLM International Business Law is to be awarded by University of West London, UK. This program is conducted via online mode. It is designed to help you apply your learning in ways that are meaningful for you today and tomorrow.
The objectives of LLM International Law are to enable learners to gain knowledge and understanding about various branches of law, develop an analytical and critical approach to the application of UK and International legal principles and understand the appropriateness of dealing with certain aspects of behaviour within the law.
The qualification provides learners with an understanding of law in the context of business to equip them with the abilities needed to work with advanced issues.
By the end of the qualification, learners will be able to:
- To understand a range of subjects in international business law
- Develop an understanding for legal frameworks that govern international business transactions within industry
- Demonstrate an understanding of commercial trust law, company law, international trade law, intellectual property law, and law of financial crimes.
- Develop research skills and have the ability to write on key areas in law.
Course Structure
This programme consists of 2 stages. The first stage consists of 6 study subjects, and the second stage includes a work-based dissertation (12,000 words). The OTHM Level 7 Diploma in International Business Law is the first stage, while the LLM Top Up is the second stage. Students who successfully complete the 6 subjects will be awarded with the OTHM Level 7 Diploma in International Business Law (120 credits) qualification while proceeding to the LLM (60 credits) (top up) award by the University of Buckingham.

Stage II- LLM top up
The LLM (top up) consists of a compulsory single module ‘Consultancy Project Report’ worth 60 credits. The module provides the opportunity for you to examine an area of particular interest within an appropriate organisational context. The module is designed to make a major contribution to your professional and intellectual development, through enabling you to demonstrate your capacity for sustained independent thought, learning and critical reflection. The purpose of this programme is to deliver a practical and realistic solution to a business-related strategic challenge, which in turn is supported by appropriate reference to theoretical and conceptual analysis.
You will evidence this by producing a ‘Consultancy Project Report’ of 12,000 words.
- Must have Bachelor or equivalent diploma
- Mature learners (over 21) with management experience (learners must check with the delivery centre regarding this experience prior to registering for the programme).
- Adults with lesser qualification but posses years' of experience in laws will also be considered.
All units within diploma level 7 qualifications are internally assessed by KIMT and externally verified by OTHM. And modules under top up qualification are internally assessed by London Graduate Schools (LGS) and externally assessed by the university. The qualifications are criterion referenced, based on the achievement of all the specified learning outcomes.
To achieve a ‘pass’ for a unit, learners must provide evidence to demonstrate that they have fulfilled all the learning outcomes and meet the standards specified by all assessment criteria. Judgement that the learners have successfully fulfilled the assessment criteria is made by the Assessor.
