The BSc (Hons) Business Management at University of Bolton, UK is a three-year degree programme that aims to provide students with a comprehensive and practical education in various aspects of business management, such as marketing, finance, human resources, operations, and strategy. The programme also offers students the opportunity to choose a specific pathway in the final year, such as information systems, enterprise, supply chain management, people management, or retail.
The programme is designed to develop students’ employability skills, such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and critical thinking, as well as their knowledge and understanding of the contemporary business environment and the needs of employers. The programme is taught by experienced and supportive staff, who have strong links with the industry and professional bodies. The programme also incorporates real-life case studies, guest speakers, industry visits, and work placements, to help students apply their learning to real-world scenarios and challenges. The programme is accredited by the British Computer Society, the Chartered Institute for IT, and the GCHQ, and is aligned with the standards and frameworks of the Institute of Information Security Professionals and the Communications-Electronics Security Group.
The programme prepares students for a successful career in business management, in various sectors and roles, such as business analyst, project manager, marketing manager, finance manager, human resources manager, or operations manager. The programme also provides a foundation for further study and research in business management, such as a master’s degree or a PhD.
The BSc (Hons) Business Management program at the University of Bolton is split into two stages: Higher National Diploma (HND) and BSc (Hons) Business Management Top Up.
During the HND stage, students will study 12 subjects that cover a range of business & management topics. Successful completion of these subjects will earn students either the OTHM Level 5 Extended Diploma in Business Management (240 credits) or the Qualifi Level 5 Extended Diploma in Business Management (240 credits) qualification, depending on their chosen pathway.
Once students have completed the HND stage, they can proceed to the BSc (Hons) Business Management Top Up stage. During the top up stage, students will study 6 subjects that cover a range of business & management topics at an advanced level. The BSc (Hons) Top Up phase is worth 120 credits and is awarded by the University of Bolton, UK.

There’re 6 modules, totaling 120 credits in BSc (Hons) Business Management Top Up program. You’ll be assessed through coursework, essays and case studies. Each module is delivered in a one-week block of lectures, tutorials and seminars. This means it’s easy to fit learning around work and personal commitments

For entry onto the BSc (Hons) Business Management qualification, learners must possess:
- Relevant NQF/QCF/RQF A Level qualification, Higher Secondary or equivalent
- Mature learners (over 21) with management experience (learners must check with the delivery centre regarding this experience prior to registering for the programme)
- The learner must be 18 years or older at the beginning of the course.
If a learner is not from a majority English-speaking country must provide evidence of English language competency.
